JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • PhD in Public Health and a Master's degree in a related field from an accredited university

  • At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level as a Lecturer, with demonstrable record in research and publication

  • Strong commitment to mentoring students and faculty in research methodologies.

  • Evidence of ability to attract research funding and lead research projects.

  • Proven experience teaching in a hybrid environment (face to face and online)

  • Supervised at least three postgraduate students' theses to completion.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.

  • Demonstrated success in interdisciplinary collaboration and community engagement related to research.

  • A minimum of 32 publication points as a Lecturer, with at least 24 referred scholarly journals

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct high-quality research publications in peer-reviewed journals.

  • Contribute to curriculum development and enhancement of research capacity within the university

  • Develop and implement innovative research strategies that align with the university's mission.

  • Engage with the academic community and participate in conferences and workshops.

  • Supervise and mentor graduate students in their research projects and dissertations

  • Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the areas of public health
